H. Max Horbund was an official artist in the U.S. Coast Guard Art Program and a 1996 recipient of the Phyllis Harriman Mason Grant. He has several pieces of work in its permanent collection. He has been represented by many galleries in the New York metropolitan area, around the United States, as well as in Japan.  His art work is included in government, corporate and numerous personal collections in the United States and abroad.

Horbund trained at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, the School of Visual Arts in NYC and the Art Students League of New York, where he was a member of the board for nearly two decades, ultimately serving as its president for three years.  A prolific painter, Horbund works daily in his studio in Northern NJ and teaches painting classes at the Art Center of Northern NJ.

Horbund’s oil paintings are done on linen or panel and range in price from $400 to $5,000.
